    Heyy guys

If anyone is checking this just a heads up 4 the summer reading. I asked ms. neilsen and she advised that we should take notes. I am currently reading hanging on to max, it is excellent! I highly recommend it.

I read “Hanging On To Max”, “The Manny Files”, and “Thou Shalt Not Dump the Skater Dude.” I loved them . I also read “The Clique” for the first time. It was okay. I want to read the others, to see if they get any better. I can’t wait to read any more summer reading books.

    See ya later!

This summer, i read Elsewhere by Gabriella Zevin. it was pretty good, but the ending was a little bit rushed i think. i also read Graceling by Kristin Cashore and I loved it!! I looked online and saw that Kristin Cashore also wrote Fire, but i wasnt sure if its a sequel to graceling or not. im gonna read it anyway! I went to writing camp this summer and some of the cool books we read were St. Lucy’s home for Girl’s raised by wolves by Karen Russell, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, and Intrepreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lairi. If you guys are into poems, check out “How to Write a Political Poem, The Impotence of Proofreading, and Labeling Keys by Taylor Mali andThe Lanyard and Litany by BIlly Collins. Avoid and Exeter TExt by Perec are cool because Avoid doesnt have any of the letter e’s in it and the exeter text only uses the vowel e and the consonants. another book for people who like to write are Exercises in Style by Raymond Queneau translated by Barbara Wright. My last cool book is on oulipo techniques. hope you are having a good summer!!

I checked on Graceling and it seems Fire is a companion/prequel. There is talk of a sequel. I have it home but haven’t read it yet.

does anyone have 13 Reasons Why? I really want to read it. i read graceling and i loved it too! :) i am so bored. i need more books to read. i read amandine, and that was weird but i liked it. i couldn’t get into sovay though. i already read olive’s ocean and i thought of it as a “safe book”- one that was okay, but not great. comments? happy thanksgiving!
